The project involved the conversion of existing malting silos to high end apartment accommodation. The project included complex excavation work to provide car parking beneath the silos and the podium. The development resulted in a total of 40 apartments in the silos and adjacent warehouse building.
The design incorporated features that were based on BCA performance requirements which were the subject of fire engineering assessment and MFB approval.
The development was the winner of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (Victorian Chapter) 2013 awards for best Urban Renewal project.
